This episode is hilarious and intense. Andy Hanson is an intense guy and I love hanging out with him. I met Andy back in 2016 when he was running Gunway and had me out to the store to teach classes and helped me get my business going. He has served in the South Dakota National Guard for over 20 years, is a GWOT veteran having served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and he is a husband and father. He was also very candid in talking about what it’s like for soldiers returning home, and how he managed to get “bored” while in combat. This one is a gem!

It’s been one year since I started the podcast! Thanks for listening! Last week I was out in Pierre with my buddy Jeremy Williams for a training class. I suggested we go shoot prairie dogs in the Fort Pierre National Grassland the day before. I had done this many times, he never had. I met Dustin back in 2016 when we were going to start teaching classes at a now defunct gun shop in Harrisburg. Then he and the other guys on the board at Sioux River Sportsmen’s Club volun-told me to join the board, of which Dustin is the president. He’s a husband, a dad, a woodworker, cabinet installer, enthsiast of meticulous things that are hard to do, and he drove 500 miles with one broken rifle to hunt deer.
